OCR Issues a HIPAA Administrative Simplification Regulation Text
The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office for Civil Rights (OCR) recently published an unofficial version of all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulatory standards in one document. The document includes the following:
- Transactions and Code Set Standards
- Identifier Standards
- Privacy Rule
- Security Rule
- Enforcement Rule
- Breach Notification Rule
The official HIPAA regulatory standards can be found in the Code of Federal Regulations, Title 45, Volume 1, Chapter I, Parts 160, 162 and 164.
